When I first started playing SL 2 years ago, I used to run around alone on the grid after Willow would log off for the evening and explore on my own. Usually I would end up camping or go to random clubs and get approached by some random individuals who would converse with me in German because they assumed I spoke German and well I had an affinity for German Goth Clubs in SL.

One evening I decided I wanted to explore Gothic sims and then I expanded my search to include Gothic clothing. I found myself in ~silent sparrow~ and was in complete awe of all the beautiful clothing. I couldn’t believe how beautiful all the clothing was in the store and I realized all the clothes I had picked up in the freebie warehouses were not quite as beautiful as the hand drawn designs by the lovely Miss Hyasynth Tiramisu. I wandered around her store for a couple hours staring at all the lovely items but with only 50L to my name I couldn’t quite afford any of her items just yet. So I clicked the sign to join her group and waited patiently for my group invite.

Two years later I have seen the designs of Miss Tiramisu expand and it is amazing how she just keeps getting better and better with every release. You can tell that she puts her heart and soul into every item she releases. I have had the opportunity to get to know her and after many discussions with her I do realize she will not release an item until it meets her own personal criteria. Each release is a masterpiece and when you see her collaborations with other designers such as Allegory Malaprop of Schadenfreude, you know its going to be something epic.

Well before I completely bore you with my long and drawn out introduction on how I discovered Silent Sparrow and why I love the store, I wanted to showcase some of my fave designs. These are some of the newest releases over the past few months. Some of the items are “Limited Edition items” that are either currently available now for a short time or they are no longer available. I do highly recommend that whenever there is a Limited Edition release from Silent Sparrow you should consider obtaining the item. You can always get some lovely colors and variations as I am going to show you in the following images.

This is one of Miss Hya’s latest releases that is currently available at the MELT exhibit. I paired the vest with a pair of pants from the Lysander outfit after hearing her discuss in group chat that the pants matched the vests perfectly. After digging through my incredibly vast silent sparrow inventory I finally found the Lysander outfit and decided to wear the ASH version that was in my folder. I love the attention to detail on this vest. You can see the realistic textures and in the store you can also get plain versions of the vest in a variety of colors.

In this picture I paired up two of my favorite releases from ~silent sparrow~. I love the textures on the Kurai Tart set. I am also wearing a Limited Edition Version of the Kurai Jacket in Mint but there are also a variety of Kurai jackets in the store in several colors that are available for purchase. I am probably shocking a few of my friends with the fact that I’m wearing another color besides purple. One of my favorite outfits that Miss Hya has created is the Selador outfit. This particular version I had acquired during a little Limited Edition hunt and I got several colors of this dress, [...]

Jill is one of my favorite stores in SL.  The clothing is simplistic, yet highly detailed.  Jill has a new group gift available and a new lucky board prize!  The little black rose dress is the new lucky board price at Jill.  The classy black SoHo boots are a past gift to Maitreya sub-o members.

The beautiful Allure skin is the new March gift for the Cupcakes update group members.  The skins come in all shades and with or without freckles.  I am wearing the lace skin tone with freckles.  The silver Isolde necklace is the newest lucky chair prize at U&R Dogs.  The fun and adorable Anna Broadway hair isn’t free, but absolutely fabulous!  This hair is one of the many items offered by RezIpsa Loc at the Accessory Fair.

While at Jill I also won the lacy tunic top (shown above) from the other lucky board and picked up the newest group gift!  The new group gift at Jill is this long sleeve black dot button blouse.  The leggings come with or without the stars and in black, blue, brown, khaki, and purple.  The leggings are a past gift from Jill that can be found in store.  If you’ve never been to the Jill store then join the group and take advantage of all the wonderful past gifts found on the second floor!

Somehow little ol’ me got a lucky sneak peak into some sexy newness from L’Abel!

Today’s style is from Truth.

Awhile back I found Angelwing, a store that sells Gorean outfits like silks and camisks, but also mainstream gowns, lingerie, and sexy outfits like the ones I’m showing you today.  Even better, Angelwing gives some of the best stuff away for free.  Case in point, this hot pink and black set, which came with the feathered pieces for the hair, arm, and wrist, the boots, and the earrings and necklace.  What a bargain!  I just love pink and black; add some feathers, show some skin, and I am *sold*!

The hair worn above is a new release from Kitsune Couture – a store that used to sell clothing, but now focuses exclusively on hair.  I really love her black hair textures.  The next outfit, “Hot Hot Gray” was last weekend’s offering, and while not free, still a bargain at only L$60 because it also comes with the gloves, boots and jewelry (bangles, necklace, and earrings). The hair shown is also by Kitsune Couture and is a real bargain right now.  It’s on secret sale for only L$10 per color pack and L$30 for the fatpack.  Just mouse over the ads and find it.

As you know by now, I’m so sad that Penny Dreadful Arcade is closing coz I LOVE their poses.  I’ve been having such fun shooting photos with the poses I bought at their closing sale recently that I just had to include the next one.

Angelwing has a Midnight Mania board and a Lucky Chair, plus various freebies lying around.  It’s well-worth a visit.

It’s been a long time! I know. I’ve been so busy, I basically have a real life again? Not really though? It’s just less time on the computer and more time with my family. I’ve been in and out of town lately, so I do apologize to those who have been trying to reach me. I do have  a stable computer now! so try now

IT”S ALL ABOUT EMERY!!

Maybe some have you have heard but Emery has decided to revamp some of their older clothing. From outfits, skirts, tanks, tees, and their jeans! Let me just say the bucket full of items that I received I adored! I love that their new updated clothing and new releases are so crisp in the fold (wrinkle) department. Their jeans has a more realistic feel to it than their old faded photo sourced look. Rather than it being photo sourced it looks like they went back and hand drew everything. I haven’t had a chance to ask them, but with my own eyes that is what it looks like. I love Emery. They’re my top 5 store in Second Life. Not because they’re prices are reasonable but because they are constant keeping ahead with the fashion trends. I say to myself when I see fashion blogs “I should make that”. I don’t, because I’m lazy. Emery is always on top, constantly throwing out the latest trends. The beautiful colours, the bold styles, the interesting textiles. I love Emery! So lets take a look.

For this look was pretty tricky because I first got the package. I tried on everything and was completely overwhelmed. I guess I went with my usual look. Trash rocker? I wore their Triangular dress! Which totally caught my eye with the bold print and the simply upper tank buster top. In the detailed picture below I’m wearing something a bit different. I wanted to take a picture of the actual dress. See above for the regular dress. I didn’t know what to wear with the dress so I added Emery’s updated suspended sequin top! Like a jumper. I love the texture, looks so realistic. I wore the navy colour because it was not overly bold. The tank top below the jumper top is also by Emery. I wore Milk Motions BF blazer because I think they’re amazing. I wear them a lot irl. I think the whole baggy blazer look is not only comfortable but also trendy. I don’t like tight fitting clothes but if I do dress it down with a baggy item. The tights are from sheer. The boots are COCO.

Like look number one I’m wearing the same top, but I changed the skirt to one of my classic favs. Another updated item. The striped high waisted skirt. I love the look, I even bought one from urban behavior, unfortunately it’s in white and not some bad-ass bright colour. I love the citrus but you can choose from a whole rainbow of colours. The purse is from Bare Rose, very classy upper east side, but the boots and the hat bring it back down to the London grunge era.

For this look I went with the top from one of their outfit packs. I love the whole leather tee-shirt. But with this top it’s cropped so it’s another bonus! The sculpted sleeves branch out in a very natural feel. The fushia pants are my bold item. I love the way how they re-did these because like I said earlier. The old pair looked faded and washed out. Now they look so real with it’s deep shadows around the creases. I love how the zippers pop on the sides of the pants and the stitching stands out.

So ACTION is is out with some new cool stuff now, and this cute flats   they are  called *Action Womens Ballet Flatz and they are totaly adorable.
Im wearing to diffrent colors of the shoe, but the top ring of the flats has a lil hud where u can change the color with wooohooo!   i think this flatz are really a must have to have this spring

The glasses im wearing is one of my fav glasses and they are from vintage wear, but the store is now called Epoque. If they have the glasses still ther dont know, but they still looks damn cute.

Truth is now out with this new hair called Brit, its a cute hair that has really become one of my fav hairs of 2010 This color is from the black pack

So i totally love this corset or this Burlesque as its called from Rotten Toe   its cute and sexy, and you can match it to both skirts and jeans or notting more xD the awesome thing with it is that it was only 65L  :O  so run and buy

Some people think urbanity’s jeans has atoo low waist, but i say.. NO!  lol…  urbanity makes awesome stuff and i love seeing a lil butt cleavage and this pants are just soo cool. i just love them. hehe

it seems like my bed is screaming for me, so its best to jump into it and get some sleep now

It’s the Truth, I’m addicted! I wasn’t expecting the “Truth Updates” email until at least tomorrow so it was a great surprise and I’m sooo glad because I’m out of town for a few days so I still get my weekly hair fix before I leave! Now I just have to get over the fact I’m going to miss a 50l friday item by League oh well……….

2 new female hair do’s by Truth this week. I have to say I’m loving these full body styles, Brit last week and now Sydney. Sydney has a really cute hair band and its texture changeable to loads of colours too. Apparently I was doing the Flickr link back thing wrong (irnewb) by linking to the direct images and not the page of the photo. I fixed that for this post and hopefully shall remember to keep doing it. >.>

I was frolicking around in world today like a butterfly on the breeze of spring. Or something. I get a little IM ding ding! And I am like, so excited, because I was bored and there was a someone talking to me and it wasn’t a group advertising “los deals locos! sex beds for 99L!” followed by 45 chicks screaming “STOP SPAMMING YOU CLASSLESS DOUCHE” for half an hour. The guy asked me if I would like to lay down in the flowers so that he might conduct an inspection of my body. Literally. I have no idea what to say to that because you know, I’m a HIGH CLASS girl and I at least want to look at his profile before getting it on. I guess I took to long too reply because the next moment I looked up he was having sex with a girl with SYSTEM HAIR OMG in the flowers.

I always miss out. =(

So I was inspired to take some more bad pictures of myself in the new skin offering from Nomine. I have to admit, I’ve never been a big Nomine shopper. I have a couple pieces from there that I’ve tried to work into my wardrobe, but frankly I don’t pull off the gothic victorian thing very well. That being said I’ve always admired the designer’s work showcased on other people. When I got the notice for the new skin line this morning I was pleasantly surprised to see a different type of skin being presented.

I bought three!

A perfect red lipstick is my SL holy grail. I search hard and long for it. There have been only a few that I found perfect… rich dark and glossy like the sweetest cherries or the most decadent wine. The Swan 2 makeup from Curio’s June line is really my go to red lipstick, the only downside being the (gorgeous) sky blue eye makeup – I love it but it doesn’t go with everything. Sadface.

This new offering from Nomine in the Vamp – Red is my new favorite red lip. I look so sultry, and pouty and my lips look sooooo plush and richly red and the rest of the face is cute, I want to pinch my own pouty sulky cheeks! The dark eye makeup is much easier to pair with clothing as well.

But instead of putting clothes on I figured hey, why not lingerie.

I couldn’t resist the concept of nicely made 90L lingerie which I read about at Strawberry Singh’s blog. I was a little weirded out when I got to the location for Lingerie by Hollee but I gamely bought a few pieces. In one folder I got THREE SETS of lingerie for just 90L, really how can you go wrong with that? The set I’m wearing here is called Debauched. I felt that deserved only the very best in poses, so I used a couple’s freebie from Glitterati called “Not in my eye please” which I think is hysterical and also understandable. Have you ever had… you know? In your eye? Not pleasant… Or so I’m told. Because I would know nothing about that.

Spring is edging its way into our lives. In the courtyard, the magnolias and dogwood are blooming and in Second Life, well in Second Life for many it’s perpetual summer, but sometimes we let a little seasonal luster into our lives – particularly in fashion. That’s why when featuring two new items from the Accessory Fair, I decided to go with the very spring-centric Olethea dress from Lelutka.

The dress is a lovely spring green with wildly abstract irises, or at least, I think they are irises. It’s a feminine froth with a lovely shoulder pouf and a Easter Sunday ribbon at the edge of the bodice.  It is springtime femininity in fabric. The jewelry is equally feminine and dainty. From the lovely silver and amethyst Shadow Dancer set from Ticky Tacky to the ornate baroque ring from !SyDS! – the overall image is the tender optimism of spring.

This gives you a closer look at the magnificent ring from !SyDS! as well as the lovely lavender makeup from Dutch Touch.

The crowning touch is the extraordinary Jenniffer hair from Lelutka. It’s delightfully feminine and a perfect companion to the rest of the outfit.

As my virtual sim jumping mania continues, I’d like to share this wonder sim with you all. Today I landed in the virtual campus of a RL Korean University called the Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. I have seen many virtual campus sims before but nothing impressed me as much as this one. This sim serves as a perfect example of promoting RL organizations through appropriate as well as attractive sim displays. Beautifully built, carefully laid textures and really univ look and feel reminded me of my university. Information about the university was not only conveyed through info displays but also through videos and telescopes. I really like the idea of sitting in the telescope and getting a view of their RL campus (No pics for that one, I dont wanna spoil your fun xD). Various rooms like info display room, president’s office, Lecture Hall, Library, International Lounge (My favorite!) and cafe made the whole atmosphere realistic. Oh! and not to forget the freebie shop! Awesome place to grabs some realllllllllllyyyyyyyyy amazing backpacks! I clicked some pictures to share (non photoshoped – variations with windlights). All the pics can be enlarged for a bigger and better view. Legend can be found below.

I don’t know how many readers know, but I’m an SL musician. Last week I was invited to join a competition called LIL EGYPT’S GOT TALENT, did a 10 minute audition and got through to the second round. The second round seems to be all about voting, so I hope it’s not in bad taste for me to mention it here, but I’d love support if it’s in you guys to give.

See, it’s gonna be a tight competition and it’s going to be a hard one to win, but the possibility of the prize there it would be pretty much a blessing, because every single linden I make on SL goes to my paypal, which, when the market improves, will go to my bank to make money to see Clear. We call it The Cause, and it’s difficult.

Anyway, THIS LIMO will take you to a room full of pictures of the finalists, and it’s just the beginning of the ride, but I’d love the opportunity to be on it. I don’t really understand the voting rules or anything like that, but it says voters can vote once per day and ends on March 15.

I <3 Honey!

It’s true.  Today is a hot tea and bummage day.  And with hot tea comes LOTS of honey… to be fair, I use agave nectar… same diff though!

It was a fun look to create.  Sometimes I just need that nerdy cute look… and this definitely satisfied that craving!  I grabbed up this ADORABLE shirt at -tb- its layered look and random saying are way too cute.  I also found these socks at picnic… I love suspended socks – and these are no exception.  I grabbed them in white… but I’ll def be getting them in more colors soon enough.  Tossed on some rolled [N] jeans and bandaged my knee Reek style. Slipped my wrist into a =Hoot= bracelet too, which comes in a pack of 4 colors and is far too fabulous.  Another thing worth noting are these Boardwalkers from Surf Co.  We’ve all seen me wearing them before – but these… are TINTED… I love mod things, especially easily modded things.  I tinted the elastic bands on mine purple. <3

Yeahhhhhhh another lame title, sorry about that.   Truth came out with new goodies today… hair AND clothing, aren’t we the lucky ones?

I quickly threw them on and oooh’d and aahhhh’d and took some piccies!   I won’t go into great detail, because i’m sure mostly everyone has them already that read my blog

There were two tops released, plain ole Halter Tanks and the Bane Jacket… a kind of aviation style jacket with prim collar!   Both come in various colours for your pleasure!   Pair them with the LA Suedes and you have yourself a look!  The pants also come in various colour variations and have sculpty prim leg attachments that are open at the bottom… theres a lil zip on the pants, it’s adorable!

The two new hairs are Emerald and Sydney.   Emerald is the side pony style, very very cutesy and perfect for spring!   My fav has to be Sydney tho, with her gorgeousness and cuteness melded into one! I just freaking LOVE IT.    I love it had a colour change headband too… I do like the gadgety bits on hairs lol, SUE ME.

Also worn in the picture were some OSSM new sunglasses made by Kaiman of Fools Fate fame!   They come in woods and colours and have uber options upon click including colour, size, tint anddddddd well, thats it, but that’s like.. every option ever!  Unless next time he could make sunbeams shoot out of them (thanks Kaiman! ).   I don’t know if they’re out in store yet, but be sure to keep your eyes peeled for them, i’ll update on a blog post when I know for sure where they are!

The skin is also a new beta from Touche that I received and it’s LOVELY, i’ve always been a fan of Treble Freenote’s stuffies.. and this is no exception.   I haven’t poked around her yet (pervs), but I immediately fell in love with the face, and I can’t wait to see more of me in it, and you guys!   When I have more time, I shall probably post about her again!

Truth has just released two new hairstyles! I’m wearing Sydney, which comes with a texture-changing headband and also Emerald (below), both in Swedish Blonde. Yep, I’ve been playing around with Strawberry hair color for the past few days but I’m going back to Swedish cos I think it works great with this Laqroki Pearl skin. I like the ultra light hair combination with a Sunkissed skin tone.

For some reason I really really had to have pink hair today. I think it works quite well. Nothing like a splash of hot pink to brighten up your day.

Like many of us on the grid, I find myself addicted. Addicted to what? Skins.. shoes.. and… oh. sweet. baby. jeebus. HAIR. Truth Hair Specifically. I think between my 2 avs (and one I havent bought anything on in like 6 months mind you) I have probably 100 folders from Truth, and only about 6 of them are clothing or shoes.

What the hell can you do with a hair designer so awesome and also SO FUCKING PROLIFIC. If I bought every style I wanted I wouldn’t be able to eat irl. The man is making me choose between hot wings and pixel hair AND THE HAIR IS WINNING. So yeah. I had to cut back… one style per week. This week I chose Emerald, and I like to think it’s named for one of my favorite bloggers Emerald Wynn. It’s pretty adorable!

While I was buying my Truth hair with everyone else and their mother, I got a “something new!” notice from I don’t even know what the fuck group anymore because I have so many, discussing a dress from a store I’d never been to called Chanktare. Oh god it’s so pretty I could die! I had to buy it (and for the cost of another Truth hair, go figure) and then go find somewhere pretty to take a picture that wasn’t my bedroom because I’m already bored of that. Note that this dress DOES NOT HANDLE MY SPAZMODIC AO WELL being entirely sculpted. It’s good for posing but not to wear just all the time, sadly.

Lastly I have something to bitch about. I was originally going to buy some of those new 2Real Pure shoes and blog about them and make some retarded title like “not another blog about those 2Real shoes” and THEN I GOT THERE AND THEY WERE 600 LINDENS?! What the HELL no! I am not paying 600L for sneakers, it’s just ridiculous. 400, I could see. 600? No. For the same reason I refuse to buy Stiletto Moody shoes (but oh do I gladly accept their group gifts >.> Though I rarely wear them, that’s a whole other story) they’re just too damn expensive for what they are. Maybe I am just feeling stingy, I don’t know.

Alright, I am done. Oh wait no. I am supposed to go grocery shopping today but I am lazy so will eat hot wings instead. That’s right, Truth hair AND hotwings in one day. I’m a bad bad man.
